International Sales Excellence Manager - Strategic Marketing
Lundbeck seeks a Sales Excellence Manager for our Sales Excellence department in Strategic Marketing, a part of Commercial Operations.

The Sales Excellence team supports and challenges our affiliates in their objective to reach a competitive edge in the individual markets. The Sales Excellence team works closely with different departments within Commercial Operations, especially with our Regional Vice Presidents (RVP's) as well as the Sales Excellence Board, which comprises of 14 National Sales Managers from key Lundbeck affiliates across the globe. The position of the department as integrated part of Strategic Marketing unit reflects the strong integration of the Sales & Marketing function in Lundbeck.

You will be part of a dedicated team where strong performance, teamwork, professionalism, drive, motivation and dedication are cornerstones. The position is based at our headquarters in Copenhagen.


Your job
You will be working together with 2 colleagues as International Sales Excellence Manager on typical sales excellence topics such as, Targeting & Segmentation, Sales Force sizing, Selling models, Competences, Performance Management, and Key Account Management. You will function as a global champion in one or more typical sales excellence topics responsible for global implementation of best practice. Besides project management you will have a regional focus as the Sales Excellence liaison for the affiliates in one of our regions.

Responsibilities include:
  • Responsible for increasing levels of sales excellence performance in affiliates in your focus region
  • Preparation and execution of sales excellence assessment workshops with affiliates to support Annual Business Planning process
  • Driver (and champion) for cross-organisational projects with focus on sales (and marketing) optimisation
  • Initiation and facilitation of meetings. E.g. project related meetings as well as fixed meetings like e.g. Sales Excellence Board meetings, regional meetings and other pan-Lundbeck events that facilitate Knowledge sharing
There is a high level of autonomy in the position and you will work in close cooperation with colleagues in affiliates, Strategic Marketing, Business Operations as well as other colleagues across the Lundbeck organisation, in a truly international environment. The position entails 30-40 days of travel per year.
Your qualifications
  • Experience from the pharmaceutical industry as e.g. product management, sales management or sales force effectiveness
  • Or, a background as management consultant with experience from Pharma
  • Experience from involvement in sales excellence relevant projects. Sales Force sizing experience is considered a plus
  • High proficiency in written and spoken English. Additional language skills are considered a plus
  • International experience is required
  • Master's degree in e.g. Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or Natural Science
