28.06 Internship – Corporate Public Affairs /novo nordisk

Novo Nordisk is seeking a student for a full-time internship in our Corporate Public Affairs department (CPA) in Bagsværd, located within the Corporate Branding & Responsibility area. The paid internship will be for a six-month period (30 ECTS points) starting in August 2009.


The department consists of seven employees and advocates Novo Nordisk’s global public affairs strategy with three integrated ambitions; to give people with diabetes appropriate priority on par with the scope and severity of the disease and its complications; to drive outcomes for people with diabetes through reorganisation of healthcare systems; and to break the curve of the global diabetes pandemic by mobilising multi-stakeholder efforts to monitor the fight against diabetes and set clear targets for improvements.


The intern will be supporting CPA’s coordination and implementation of key initiatives in Novo Nordisk's Global Public Affairs strategy and will be an active team member in the implementation of Changing Diabetes® initiatives developed in close collaboration with other departments and local affiliates.


Tasks; Assist in the preparation, execution and follow-up of international Changing Diabetes® Leadership Forums; Support the implementation of the Changing Diabetes® Barometer (see www.changingdiabetesbarometer.com; Support the implementation of global standards for public affairs work; Support ongoing initiatives and updates within an internal global network of public affairs practitioners.


Qualifications
You are studying law, political science, international relations, business or similar at graduate level. Please note that we do not accept applications from graduates and non-students.


You write and speak English fluently. You have strong analytical and writing skills, are quality-oriented and organised in your work. You are flexible and will adapt well in a corporate environment. You will be solving a range of tasks in co-operation with colleagues and find yourself at ease in teamwork, but are also able to work independently on assignments. You have a global mindset and might have experiences from working in another country as well as handling cultural diversity. You would ideally have a good understanding of public affairs and experience in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including policy-makers, authorities and media.
