On behalf of our customer Molex, we are looking for a very skilled Sales Engineer for a position within the Mobile Group at Molex.

The position requires an independent and self motivated Sales Engineer who will be based in Glostrup – Denmark, and report to the Global Account Manager in Finland.
As Sales Engineer you will be responsible and accountable for identifying, seeking and securing new opportunities for Molex products with existing and new customers within any market, in a defined sales territory.

The Position:
You will be dealing with the biggest customers in Molex, primary servicing customers in the “Mobile Devices Industry” in Denmark and Germany.
Your internal contacts will be sales management, customer services staff, members of the field service team, product management and industry marketing managers.
Your external contacts will be existing and prospective customers, Industry/research organisations, as and when appropriate, e.g.  IEEE, Standard committees, etc.
  • Propose and agree on a business strategy for your territory
  • Prepare and agree on annual sales forecasts
  • Prepare a weekly Call Plan and Call on existing and prospective customers
  • Carry and maintain an adequate and varied stock of product samples and literature
  • Following up on both direct and distribution sales leads
  • Ensure all aspects of key account management: maximising design opportunities, commercial negotiations, and co-ordinating logistics with the operations departments
  • Prepare and maintain customer price contracts. Obtain information on competitors products and pricing
  • Manage and maintain the CRM Project database
  • Monthly Report providing a summary and analysis of the last month performance and previewing activity for the forthcoming month, to include industry trends, competitor activity, new developments, etc.
  • Analyse the Sales Leads database
  • Contribute to group meetings including meeting with Distribution to review progress on existing and potential business
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings, Molex exhibitions, market relevant exhibitions and training courses at your Manager’s request.
  • Take responsibility for solving product quality and delivery problems.  Facilitate resolution of invoice and despatch queries.
  • Upon customer requests, you will suggest to and seek approval from, our manufacturing Plants to provide appropriate response to commercial issues.
Your Qualifications:
We expect you to have a relevant educational background and proven experience as a technical sales engineer in the electromechanical market.
  • You have extensive connector/interconnect product knowledge together with a wide market knowledge
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong drive and self-starter
  • Creativity and enthusiasm
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Fluent in English and German
  • Interpersonal skills
