The Royal Danish Embassy in Beijing is looking for an energetic andcapable person to take over a full-time position (40 hrs/week) asbusiness consultant for food, agriculture and fisheries in the TradeCouncil of Denmark - China as of 1 August 2009.
The TradeCouncil of Denmark – China assists Danish companies interested in doingbusiness in China, i.e. by facilitation of selling or sourcing ofproducts, and is part of the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Intotal, we are around 50 colleagues in six different locations in China.

Your responsibilities
Analysis of the commercial opportunities within food, agriculture and fisheries.
Analysis of the Chinese government’s policies and regulations within food, agriculture, fisheries and food safety.
Carry out own projects within the food sector in connection with the Trade Council’s and Embassy’s public service obligations
Assist in developing and presenting solutions to customers, includingcontributing to business development and marketing initiatives
Assist the Embassy’s agricultural counselor with other relevant tasks.
Participate in other larger projects at the Embassy within both the commercial, political and other areas.
Your qualifications
Academic background, preferably with a commercial and marketing related education.
Substantial knowledge of the Chinese policies, regulations and marketpossibilities within agriculture, fisheries, food processing and foodsafety.
Strong commercial sense; experience from privately owned food/agritech companies an advantage
Demonstrated ability to run tasks simultaneously
Flexible and energetic team player
Excellent spoken and written English and Danish. Mandarin skills are an advantage
Strong knowledge of MS Office.
