We are currently looking for a post doctoral researcher to work in the field of biomimetic membranes for sensor and separation applications. The research is supported by the Danish National Advanced Technology Foundation and is carried out at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).
The successful candidate will be responsible for experiments on block-copolymer membranes and surface functionalization using instruments and facilities established by the biomimetic membrane group, the Quantum Protein Center (QuP), and Aquaporin A/S. In addition the candidate will be responsible for maintaining on-going collaborations with DTU Nanotech and RISØ-DTU.
We are thus looking for a person with a strong background in experimental biophysics, in particular in the areas of polymer physics, soft plasma vacuum techniques, fluorescence spectroscopy and membrane transport (electrophysiology).
Qualifications
Candidates should have a PhD degree in engineering or a similar degree.
Salary and appointment terms
The salary and appointment terms are negotiated in accordance with the current collective agreement for Danish University faculty members.
The position is available for 14 month beginning 15 July 2009 and end 30 September 2010.
