The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Aarhus University, Denmark, is looking for a number of bright and enthusiastic people with excellent MSc degrees in relevant natural science, agricultural or engineering disciplines to fill the following 10 PhD positions.

The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences has approx. 900 employees, of which approx. 450 are scientists. Further, the Faculty has state-of-the-art laboratories and experimental facilities at its disposal at centres in Foulum (Jutland), Aarslev (Funen), Flakkebjerg (Zealand), and Sorgenfri (Copenhagen) as well as four experimental stations and a research group at the Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Copenhagen.


The PhD education at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences is organized via the Graduate School of Agriculture, Food and Environment (SAFE), the objective of which it is to offer research training at the highest international level in both basic science as well as in more applied aspects.

Qualifications

The PhD positions are three-year positions. Applicants to the PhD positions must have a Master’s degree or graduate in the very near future (documentation for final thesis and date of examination must be enclosed in the application). Matriculation as a PhD student will be in accordance with Ministerial Order no. 18 of 14 January 2008 on the PhD Programme at Universities, and matriculation at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences is a prerequisite for employment as a PhD student.
