Our customer is manufacturer of wind energy converters for offshore projects. The company develops and produces offshore plants in Northern Germany. Since the foundation the company has been working on the development and manufacture of huge offshore wind energy converters. A team of highly qualified specialists for all essential turbine components works continuously together with component suppliers on the further advancement of technology.


Mission:
Define and implement the Sourcing Strategy in the area of responsibility
Implement the Subsidiary Purchasing Strategy within the area of responsibility


Main activities:
Plan, organize and manage the team activities
Manage and develop the team members
Build and steer the annual Purchasing Performance plan
Negotiate and conclude framework agreements with suppliers
Monitor all risk and opportunity factors concerning cost competitiveness
Monitor the relevant KPI´s to secure deliveries and to secure the purchasing cost
Develop and steer improvement plans (quality, cost, lead time, service etc.)
Make sure that a positive synergy develops between the teams, BU and corporate teams


Requirements:
Experience of the WIND INDUSTRY is a great advantage
Engineering or university degree + complementary training in purchasing
At least 5 years of experience including purchasing, or a profession involving high negotiation skills
First experience in team-management
Experience of the wind industry
Knowledge of competitive markets with suppliers in a monopolistic or oligopolistic position
International experience, including ability to deal with SOC suppliers
Very good communication and negotiation skills
Result-oriented
Technical understanding
At least bilingual (fluent in German and English)
Commencement: As soon as possible.
